The LEGO Group is starting the new year off strong with a festive new collection of LEGO sets, all celebrating the joy and traditions of springtime holidays. From traditional Lunar New Year symbols to sugary-sweet Valentine’s Day kits, these LEGOs set the tone for a joyful year of play.

Although these playsets are intended for kids ages 9 and older, the rest of the family is welcome to join in. These sets allow parents to share their unique history and cultures with their kids — all while having fun playing with LEGO bricks!

The Good Fortune LEGO building set is an exciting, engaging way for families to explore the traditions of the Lunar New Year. This kit includes over 1,000 pieces to recreate the celebration’s meaningful artifacts, like a fan, a vase of fortune red fruit, juicy persimmons, gold ingots, a calligraphy brush, and a scroll that reads “spring” in Chinese. The fan and display stand are fully customizable, so families can celebrate the new year in their own unique, festive way.

The LEGO Trotting Lantern lights the way to a happy and bright new year. With just the push of the rotating center column, the 1,295-piece lantern flickers to life! The lantern unfolds to reveal a glowing marketplace, five mini-figures, and a shadow theater where kids can create different lighting effects. Traditional imagery decorates the lantern, making this set a great way to shine a light on the culture and customs of the holiday.

Wave “hello” to a lucky year with this LEGO version of the historic Lucky Cat! The set captures every detail of the original statuettes, from its smiling eyes and whiskers to a working pendulum to make the cat wave. Builders can decorate the cat with either a gold coin or a traditional wish for good fortune written in Chinese. Whether it grins on a bookshelf or beckons from a toy box, this cat will bring families good luck year-round!

The LEGO Spring Festival Collection also has Valentine’s Day sets that’ll make LEGO fans’ hearts (and wings) flutter. With 412 pieces, the Sweetheart Tweety Bird kit includes everything fans need to build the iconic Looney Tune. The charming canary model can be styled either on a cloud pedestal, aiming Cupid’s bow and arrow, or holding a flower bouquet. With many posable details, this bird is ready to let love soar.

If fans are a little less looney and a little more lovey, the LEGO Love Bears set brings builders all the warm and fuzzies. In this 287-piece set, kids can assemble two love-struck bears alongside romantic accessories like a box of chocolates and flowers. Display the bears together on the stand, or give a bear to that special honey as a Valentine’s Day gift. One thing’s for sure: this set is unbearably cute!

It’s never too early to spring into the holiday celebrations! These new LEGO sets are available now at The LEGO Store and select retailers.
